How We Invest

The Foundation invests its assets to support the community’s current needs while providing resources for future generations to address emerging needs. We take a diversified approach with long-term goals for growth and income.

Finance Committee

The Foundation ensures investment oversight by meeting regularly with our finance committee, which is made up of members with experience in business and finance:

Investment Pools

The investment pools we offer are below.

Reno County Impact Investment Pool

Provides funds with moderate volatility. The assets are invested 100% in our impact investments. Limited to 5% of a donor’s fund.

Equity Pool

Provides funds with a more aggressive opportunity for growth and income, and high volatility. These assets are invested in approximately 47% large cap U.S. equities, 19% large cap value, 6% mid cap growth, 11% small cap U.S. equities, 11% Nasdaq 100 Index and 6% foreign equities.
