Nonprofits & Grants

Nonprofits & Grants

Improving quality of life in our community takes a network of strong nonprofits and community groups. Through our community grant funds, staff expertise and community connections, we help nonprofits become sustainable, experiment with new ideas, and make a greater impact in the areas they serve.

In addition to providing support for nonprofits, we grant more than $3 million each year to their growth and sustainability

Our Youth Philanthropy Council
grants $5,000 annually

Grant Opportunities

We offer grants for projects of all kinds and sizes, with one thing in common: they’re all making Hutchinson and Reno County greater.

Changemakers at Work Grants

Small grants for community-building projects, open for application in January.

Charles E. Carey Memorial Fund

Grants for arts, culture, education and health, open for application in December.

Youth Philanthropy Council

Grants made by our Youth Philanthropy Council for youth-related needs, open for application in December.

John R. & Bethene S. Rimmer Fund for Early Childhood Education & Enrichment

Grants to support preschool through second grade students in need of basic school items. Apply in the fall.

Fund for Reno County

Year-round we select and fund programs demonstrating innovative ideas or critical needs, which can range from health and human services, to the arts, to parks and nature.

Organizational Endowment Funds

We’ve helped more than 54 nonprofits establish endowed funds at Hutchinson Community Foundation. These funds serve as an organization’s long-term savings account, and provide resources for the cause into perpetuity.
