After serving as Community Foundation board chair, Jack Sutton understood the importance of giving through the Foundation. He liked the flexibility of being able to address ever-changing needs of the community through unrestricted gifts. Two years ago, Jack was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, and he and his wife, Doris, made their end-of-life arrangements. Jack immediately knew he wanted to direct his memorial gifts to Hutchinson Community Foundation and the Wesley Towers Foundation. Doris is also leaving her memorial gifts to the Community Foundation, as well as Hutchinson Public Library, because of her love of reading. Jack passed away in February 2016, and the family was touched by the outpouring of memorial gifts in recognition of his life.
