Hutch CF welcomes new board members

 

 

Hutchinson Community Foundation announces the additions of residents Lacey Bryant, Randy Henderson and Pam Pierce to its board of directors. They follow outgoing board members Kim Moore and Dale Snell, whose terms expired.

Bryant is the director of Community Based Services at Horizons Mental Health Center. Prior to joining Horizons in 2018, she served as a program specialist for the Chicago Children’s Center for Behavioral Services.

She is the member chair of the Young Professionals of Reno County Advisory Board, is a member of the Reno County School Health and Wellness Alliance, the Mental Health Task Force, and is an alumna of Leadership Reno County.

She completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washburn University and studied forensic psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Henderson is a longtime Reno County law enforcement official, having retired after 18 years of service as the Reno County sheriff preceded by a 25-year career at the Hutchinson Police Department. Most recently, he served for four years as the executive director of the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police.

He is a past president of the Kansas Narcotics Officers Association and the Kansas/Western Missouri chapter of the FBI National Academy and has volunteered on several boards focused on drugs, mental health and youth.

Henderson graduated from National American University with a Bachelor of Science degree in public safety, Hutchinson Community College with an associate degree in police science and the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center. He also completed advanced law enforcement training programs at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and Louisiana State University.

He is the recipient of the Clarence Kelley Meritorious Service Award from the FBI National Academy-Kansas/Western Missouri chapter and the President’s Award from the Kansas Sheriffs’ Association.

Pierce retired in 2024 after a career as a medical pathologist. For several years, she was a staff pathologist and laboratory medical director at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, where she also served a term as medical chief of staff. In recent years, she was a staff pathologist and laboratory medical director at Newton Medical Center and Health Ministries Clinic in Newton.

She is a member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology, Kansas Medical Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. In addition to her professional affiliations, she has served on the board of the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce, the Reno County Mental Health Society and on the Commerce Bank Community board.

Pierce earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Pittsburg State University and an associate degree from Dodge City Community College.
