Three new faces join foundation board

 

 

Hutchinson Community Foundation welcomes Anna Brown, Oscar Garcia and Peggy Ruebke to its board of directors. They replace outgoing directors Lisa French, Dawn Johnson and David Neal, whose terms expired.

Brown is the Risk and Performance Improvement Manager at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She has previously worked at Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County and the Reno County Health Department.

In addition to her roles in health care, Brown is serving a fourth term as president of the Langdon City Council and is a past member of the HEAL Reno County Advisory Council and Food Policy Council.

She is a Certified Health Education Specialist, a graduate of the Kansas Public Health Leadership Series, and holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational development and master’s degrees in health education and promotion and business administration.

She and her husband have three children and live in Langdon.

Garcia is a Vice President of lending at RCB Bank in Hutchinson.

He has served various community organizations and committees, including Rise Up Reno, Reno County American Red Cross, the Hutchinson Land Bank and the Reno County ARPA Task Force.

Garcia is an alumnus of Leadership Reno County and Hutchinson Community College.

He and his wife live in Hutchinson and have two children.

Ruebke is the mayor of Nickerson and a volunteer firefighter for Reno County District 3.

She serves on the Nickerson Planning and Zoning Board; Nickerson Recreation Board; and the Nickerson Chamber of Commerce, where she is a past president. She was also a member of the Sunflower Neighborhood Association in Wichita, and for many years, she has served as an assistant scoutmaster and leader of Cub Scout Troop 333.

Ruebke graduated from Hutchinson Community College and has completed multiple Kansas Leadership Center programs.

She and her husband have five children and two grandchildren and live in Nickerson.
