Hutchinson Community Foundation welcomes new board members

 

Hutchinson Community Foundation welcomes Mary Grace Clements and Shane Iwashige to its board of directors. They follow outgoing board directors Daniel Friesen and Steve Dillon, whose terms ended.

Clements is a community volunteer and former executive director of the Reno County Historical Society from 2016 to 2018. She previously served as the chair of the Travel and Tourism Advisory Committee and Market Hutch board.

Before coming to the museum, Clements spent a long career in the airline industry, most recently at Allegiant Air, where she was vice president of inflight services and vice president of customer operations. She was also director of inflight services at Pace and Midway airlines.

She lives with her wife, Chris, in Hutchinson.

Iwashige is an entrepreneur and founder of The Rock Group, a real estate investment, management and equipment rental company that includes Rock Rentals, Refresh and Skyland Industrial. He is also a real estate sales agent at Coldwell Banker Americana and a leadership coach, adaptive leadership facilitator and a small business consultant.

He is an executive board member and past board chair of Choice Books LLC, serves on the StartUp Hutch board of directors and is vice chair of the Interfaith Housing and Community Services board of directors. He serves as a member of the Reno County Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Partnership and was formerly a board chair of Hands of Christ Ministries.

Iwashige is a graduate of Leadership Reno County and the Kansas Leadership Center Path program and has received advanced leadership training through KLC’s Leadership Coach and Adaptive Leadership Teach intensives.

He and wife Dorcas live in Hutchinson and have five children.
