An Evening With Ed O’Malley

March 29, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Where: Hutchinson Art Center, 405 N. Washington St.

Our community has said we need to tackle tough challenges—such as the ones we face with child care, housing and a shrinking population. But what we know is that making progress on issues like those is going to require all of us to exercise leadership.

That’s why we are pleased to invite the public to join Ed O’Malley, CEO of the Kansas Health Foundation, as he shares his new book, “When Everyone Leads: How the Toughest Challenges Get Seen and Solved.” He’ll offer a new mindset about leadership, a way to understand why we’ve been stuck on tough challenges, and some tools and tactics to move forward. Learn more about the book:

“Ultimately, I hope our Reno County friends will dig deep into the key argument of the book: That it’s when EVERYONE (or enough of everyone) leads that we make progress on our most difficult challenges,” O’Malley says. “I hope this book helps Reno County get to the ‘tipping point’ of enough people leading. If so, I know game-changing progress will be just around the corner.”

Admission to the event is free.

Together, we can seize opportunities and make more progress.

O’Malley founded the Kansas Leadership Center in 2007, serving as president and CEO for 15 years. A former Kansas state legislator and gubernatorial aide, Ed has co-authored three previous books including “Your Leadership Edge” and “For the Common Good.”
