Match Day raises $222,000 for 26 local nonprofits

From the line at the front door at 6:45 a.m. to the last check at 7 p.m., Match Day was an overwhelming success! On behalf of the 26 nonprofits who benefited, thank you for opening your hearts and wallets to build endowments in our community.

We received $182,000 in donations from 534 donors, equaling $222,000 in total impact with match dollars. Donations came from people from all walks of life, including business owners, children, grandparents and even people who are served by programs focused on poverty. Over half of the gifts were less than $100, showing that generosity has no income boundaries.

Thanks also to our 26 nonprofit partners for believing in the importance of endowment. Their efforts to promote Match Day were the reason we had so many people walk through the door.

We have a lot to be proud of in Reno County, and first on that list is the generosity of our people. Here at the Hutchinson Community Foundation, we're proud to make your generosity more powerful.
